Lorenzo Patiño Council No. 2862 of Sacramento

League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC)

Who we are:

The Lorenzo Patiño Council  was formed in 1983 and was named in honor of the late Judge Lorenzo Patiño. Our membership represents a cross section of the community. Since Sacramento is the Capital of California, our membership includes governmental professionals as well as private sector business men and women, educators, retirees and students. The Lorenzo Patiño Council is commanding a presence in the community.

The Lorenzo Patiño Council has been involved in many efforts to provide assistance and raise awareness on issues affecting our community. Since 1983 the Lorenzo Patiño Council has been promoting higher education, working for local charities and promoting the defense of civil liberties in our region. Often we work with other Latino groups on issues surrounding education, labor, health and employment.

Many of these issues are the same issues that affect the quality of life of everyone in Sacramento and often have a statewide impact.

You are invited to explore our web site, learn about LULAC, review our Council's activities and goals, offer your comments and suggestions, and join our membership!
